The applicant/nominee will be evaluated on the following basis:

The demonstration of
exceptional leadership in the pursuit of human welfare, security, and
peace.

Achieving measurable
success related to the promotion of a particular initiative or cause
that has local/regional and international impact.

Creating model programs
or initiatives that can launch additional humanitarian efforts.
Eligibility:
The international prize
has no citizenship or location restrictions for application and
nomination. The Prize will be awarded to an individual, group or
institution. The applicant/nominee must meet the above criteria in order
to be considered.
Application and Nomination:
Any person, group or institution as defined above may apply or be
nominated for the Prize. To be considered, each applicant/nominee must
submit the following items:

The identity, capacity and
position, address and contact details of the applicant/nominee.

A 1000 word essay describing
the activities for which the applicant/nominee is seeking the Prize.

If the applicant/nominee is
an individual person, a detailed curriculum vita, including a complete
list of the nominee's work experience and activities.

If the applicant/nominee is
a group of persons, a detailed curriculum vita of each member of the
group and a detailed description of the establishment and work of the
group.

If the applicant/nominee is
an institution, a brief description, the statutes and the last three
annual reports (if available).

Selection and Prize Process:
All applicants and nominations will be
reviewed by a Selection Committee appointed by the Board of Trustees.
Additional information may be requested from the applicant/nominee to
provide a sound basis upon which the Selection Committee can evaluate
qualifications. The Selection Committee reserves the right not award the
Prize in any given year, if in its discretion it determines that no
applicant/nominee fits the criteria established.
The recipients of the Prize will be invited by the King Hussein
Foundation to receive the Prize in a ceremony to be held in November
2006.
